The Ontario government has officially announced plans to build a new hospital in Orillia, with a $3 million investment to kick off the planning process for a modern facility that will replace the aging Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

Funding: $3 million for planning and design

Goal: Improve healthcare capacity and modernize services for Orillia & Simcoe County

Reason: The current hospital is outdated and can't meet today’s demands
